The Boone County Cooperative Extension Service will hold a 6-week program, “LEAP for Health,” focusing on literacy, physical activity, and the introduction of new foods for children ages 4-6 years old.

LEAP for Health program to be held

The Boone County Cooperative Extension Service will hold a 6-week program, “LEAP for Health,” focusing on literacy, physical activity, and the introduction of new foods for children ages 4-6 years old. The program begins on Tuesday July 6, 2010. Weekly sessions will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the Boone County Farmer’s Market, 1973 Burlington Pike, at the corner of KY 18 and Rt. 237., Burlington, KY. There is no cost for the program. Registration can be completed by contacting the Boone County Extension Service at 859-586-6101.

Weekly sessions will include story time, a physical activity, and produce sampling. Children who attend at least four of the six sessions will receive a certificate and book of their own! Adults must stay in the area during the program.
